Florida is home to more than 133 threatened and endangered native wildlife species. This makes our home one of the most vulnerable wildlife habitats in the country. At the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, our mission is to protect the unique native creatures around us. No matter how small, each species has an important role to play in the larger ecosystem.
Protecting the most vulnerable among us is part of the Conservancy’s mission every day. We are giving them special attention in honor of Endangered Species Day with special family-friendly activities on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. — 4 p.m.
We invite the community to join us for special interactive activities to raise awareness about the endangered animals whose homes we share.
