Did you know turtles take UBER too?

A good Samaritan in Bonita Springs found an injured turtle on her way to work. It had been hit by a car and was in critical condition. Due to time constraints, she was not able to drive the turtle to the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. So, she called UBER! The driver agreed to bring the injured striped mud turtle to our von Arx Wildlife Hospital.

Like you, we were wowed by her fast- thinking and generous support to help save this animal.

This turtle was one of 3,704 patients we cared for in the last 12 months. It is generous donors like you who make this work possible. Without your annual support, we would not be able to keep our doors open 365 days a year.

Right now, the Conservancy’s 2018 Annual Fund Drive is underway. It’s our most important fundraising effort of the year. It allows us to continue our mission to protect Southwest Florida’s unique natural environment and quality of life.

I need your help to make it successful, I have set a goal to raise $125,000 by December 31st. If you help us reach our goal, we have a generous donor willing to match with an additional $25,000. This is our largest match ever! With your support, I know we can make it happen.

Sincerely yours,

Robert J. Moher
Conservancy President and CEO

P.S. Please help continue to protect Southwest Florida’s water, land wildlife and future with a year-end gift today.
