Volunteers play a critical role in sustaining the Conservancy of Southwest Florida operations. The Conservancy of Southwest Florida’s mission is to protect Southwest Florida’s natural resources — our water, land, wildlife and future. As we expand and grow, we need more volunteers! Annually, volunteers contribute over one million dollars in services. Volunteers have a variety of opportunities and options to select from including; animal care, boat program, docents, trail guides, retail, special events, office support and more.

Volunteer Rick Hensley: Why do you volunteer?

We envision a region where our land, water and wildlife are protected, our citizens are informed and our leaders make decisions with the health, wellness and sustainability of our region in mind. We cannot protect Southwest Florida’s resources alone, and we respectfully ask for your support.
As a Conservancy volunteer you receive:
- 20% discount in the Welcome Center
- Complimentary guest speakers and enrichment opportunities
- Invitation to the “Season Kick-Off” Party and other volunteer parties
- Recognitions and awards
- Additional benefits with over 1000 hours of service
Conservancy of Southwest Florida was founded in 1964 by a small group of concerned citizens fighting to protect the beauty of our region. Today it has grown to be one of Florida’s largest and most respected environmental organizations. This is an opportunity for you to help make a difference in the community we share. Please put Southwest Florida in your hands by becoming a Conservancy volunteer today.
